John Finny Memorial Scholarship Application

Joshua’s Camp Corporation is excited to inform you that we are continuing our college scholarship program for all children who have attended one of our Joshua’s Camp programs including childhood cancer survivors and their siblings.

The John Finney Memorial Scholarship Program will aid Joshua’s Camp families who struggle with lasting financial challenges related to their cancer journey. As you know childhood cancer impacts both survivors and their siblings who struggle and sacrifice throughout and beyond the treatment journey. The financial challenges resulting from that journey shouldn’t prevent these children from pursuing their dream of a quality college education. We at Joshua’s Camp are proud to be able to offer childhood cancer survivors and siblings the opportunity to advance their education, follow their dreams and continue to inspire others. We believe that our founder, John Finney, would be proud to know that Joshua’s Camp is able to continue benefiting the families we have hosted, well beyond their experience at camp.

The program will target high school seniors, high school graduates or current postsecondary undergraduates. It will provide scholarships to applicants who demonstrate strong academic performance, financial need, leadership in school activities and career and educational goals. All applicants will be required to provide a personal impact statement demonstrating how childhood cancer affected their lives and their willingness to overcome all odds along the journey.

Applications are due no later than July 10, 2020 and scholarship award winners will be announced at the end of August, 2020.
